Student Objectives

Students will:

Students will read and analyze The Cay.

Students will learn, understand, and explore the literary device of point of view.

Students will write in response to literature to reflect, describe, connect, interpret, evaluate, and infer character points of view.

Students will develop points of view and support ideas with evidence from the book.

Students will write letters of response using correct formats and writing conventions as stated in the "Letter Exchange Rubric."
