Day 1 – Introduce letter exchange project on the 3rd day of the unit. Share expectations and grading rubrics.
Day 2 – Teach/review features of friendly and business letters. Assign character to partnered groups.
Day 3 – Teach Blog site use and assign usernames/passwords.
Days 4-20ish – Students work independently on reflecting on literature by writing letters to their partner in the point of view of their assigned character…keeping grading and expectations from rubric in mind.
